@martinwilley
Hi! Sorry to bother you, but are you the Martin Willey who runs the "static void" site?
If so, I'd like to thank you for some of the code there, but I can't find any other way to contact you.
If you aren't, then please accept my apologies for the intrusion!
Best regards,
OriginalGriff.

@dandy72
@code-witch
I couldn't take the win when you had the b*lls to do it in a taxi ...
I was trying to do a race for Codewitch, but she buggered off.
Then GTA threw me to the desktop, presumably for the sh*ts'n'giggles. Ho hum.
It's easy to do an invite race: "P", Right, ENTER. Select "Jobs" and ENTER. Pick the race and press ENTER, then the next screen gives you the "Invite" button.

I did. I was trying to do a closed invite race but i didn't know how.
Eventually I half figured it out, but then I had some other issue quick joining a session.
I realized I need something like those old WordStar keyboard overlays in order to remember all the bloody hotkeys.
It was at that point that between the loading times, and difficulty of use compared to the console versions that I was just done.
I mean, the load times are actually shorter on my PC, but way longer than is acceptable given the specs on my system. Plus the thing barely uses my video card, but thrashes my primary core - at 50% utilization which it almost never is except when compiling (goes to 100%).
I don't get it Rockstar. You've made the game almost unusable online.
To err is human. Fortune favors the monsters.

It works fine on mine, which is nowhere near state of the art: i7-9700 @3GHz, 16GB ram, and a 660Ti graphics adapter.

That's the default car (somehow) that it came up with, but I selected something else...and yet when it started the actual race, it had reverted back to the taxi. Don't know why, but this isn't the first time I see it ignore your selection when doing a race.
Joining specific sessions is kinda "iffy" these days, people are speculating they kinda borked it in a recent update. It comes and goes, as far as I'm concerned - sometimes their updates improve it, at other times, it's clear they've made it worse.
Random crashes to desktop are the same. Sometimes they'll release a patch that definitely fixes some crashes, and there have been times where hardly anyone can keep the game up for more than 20 minutes at a time.
Clearly, their best devs are no longer working on patching GTA5, they're all busy on 6.

Yeah, my "random crashes" became a whole load worse when they fixed the "only modders can play" problem some weeks ago.

Hi OriginalGriff,
I have wrote one article about "How to create Dynamic report in Excel", but I saw that you report that is spam.
It's not spam. Please check again.
Thanks,

This is just a copy of the originally posted rules: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4962077/WSO-CCC-OTD.aspx[^] - but since that is slipping into prehistory, I thought I'd put it somewhere more visible.
Winner-stays-on CCC rules:
Normal CCC rules apply: How to solve cryptic crosswords[^] (Behind a paywall now, try this: Beginner's guide to solving cryptic crosswords | Crosswords | The Guardian[^] )
First person to post the correct answer is the winner. A solution is recommended.
Winner posts the next WSO CCC.
WSO CCCs are posted as close to 09:00 (London Time) as possible (so everyone has a fair chance at it, it isn't posted in local time) Weekdays, Monday to Friday only.
There are four hours to post the solution: the game is over at 13:00 (London Time) and if there is no correct solution, the poster wins and gets to do it again the next day.
If the poster wins three times in a row, the next day CCC is set by the person who posted the previous one (unless he was on his third, in which case it goes back - you get the idea) [the idea here is to prevent one person posting impossible clues and staying on forever - this is meant to be a game, people!]
It is the responsibility of the winner to let the next person know it's their turn the next day. That person can delegate if work commitments intrude, but the previous winner cannot be delegated.
So if you can't set it tomorrow, don't enter!
Any complaints about these rules, let me know and we'll bash 'em about a bit to wear the rough edges off...
