It appears our "allies" don't want peace, so an escalation of the war becomes more inevitable by the day. Also implies rising cost of living and an economic downturn.
OTOH, we can finally test if Keynes was right. A destructed country has a lot of broken glass, so in his theory that would cause an economic boom.

Could I bother you with a question about who "we" are, specifically?
In particular: As opposed to our "allies", those who don't want peace - who, specifically are they?
Your adaption of Keynes' thoughts: Do they apply equally well to our enemy, if it so goes that they win the war?

I'm not going to say precisely when it started, but I've stopped saying "this year can't be worse than last year" because the following year is always like "hold my beer"

A pessimist is an optimist with experience.
An optimist is a pessimist that got religion. (not sure if that's a real cliche or I just made it up.)

Agree.

Reading the news every day does not make me more optimistic.
War in Ukraine and cold war in my country (Armenia).
Still, I'm trying to be.

when you are pessimistic, the most likely surprise is a good surprise
as for the rest, you should be as ready as can be...

Greetings,
Somewhat optimistic is my view of the world. I do admit I am looking through rose colored bifocals (slightly smudged).
Just waiting for the games to begin...
