Visual Studio Remote Control Extension

Hi all,

I've got an idea for a new software project, and I'd like to know if this is something anyone might be interested in. To be clear, I'm not trying to sell or promote my project here.

The project is a mobile app for android or ios that can be used to control visual studio, as well as displau things like output and ddbug messagss. While I'm building this to work with tablets or phones, it's meant to be used with tablets.

There would also be buttons to clean, build, and debug. The idea is to use a mobike device to reduce or eliminate the need for so many windows in visual studio.

The mobile app will communicate with visual studio via an extension I create for visual studio. The extensikn woukd communicate with the mobile app over http or https. Something like socket-io would be the protocol. Ideally, the extension will be availaboe for visual studio and vscode.

Personally, I would really like something like this, and I think other people mighf as well. But I dont want to put a ton of time into a project that no one wants.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Chatbots are highly efficient and are proven to provide excellent customer service. They are quick, friendly, provide solutions to the queries and are available round the clock. That’s the reason the number of online business integrating these chatbots is increasing more than ever. Even customers find it helpful as they get instant assistance for their queries. These chatbots are now highly advanced and can perform human-like tasks such as ordering a drink, pizza or even booking an airline ticket.

We are building an AI defect triage system that analyzes patterns in defect reports/issue tickets to automate triage and predict duplicated issues, bug severity/priority and the software component associated with the bug. This product helps companies develop higher quality software by improving dev/QA/project management team productivity. Would anyone use this?

Demonstrating Software

I need a way to just demonstrate software to a remote party.
No updating of anything wanted, under any conditions.
I want to speak to a prospect on the phone, while showing the product.
There are Lots of offering that claim to do things m,or or less like what I want.
I've read all their "Privacy" tomes, and for some reason they all want to know things like what your daddy does for a living, and your dog's name.
I guess I can live with that, but not that they'll take whatever they want, and do whatever they want with it.

On pricing, I've gotten five figure quotes for single user, the actual case.

Does anyone know of a reasonable solution?

Thank you.
Selling to the Fortune 500, Government, and Other Lovecraftian Horrors

I thought I'd share this with the community here. It is one of the most helpful articles I have read on the subject of selling to "big business" when you operate a small (and perhaps independent) business like mine.

https://training.kalzumeus.com/newsletters/archive/enterprise_sales[^]

I especially like the section titled "Dealing with the 'You're Not Big Enough' Objection". Here is an excerpt:

The best way is to contrast the level of service you can offer with what the competition can offer. You will always win this comparison if you phrase it correctly, regardless of whether or not (for example) the competition offers phone support and you do not.

The magic words are "I appreciate that you'd feel safer going with Brand Name X, and Brand Name X will indeed have someone around to answer your phone call at 2 AM. Unfortunately, they won't be able to do anything for you. Their only job is getting you off the phone before you can speak to someone capable of resolving your problem, because those people cost money. And you know what happens if you call at 2 PM? You get the same guy."

"On the other hand, when you send me an email, you may have to wait a few hours, but you'll get a response from me, every single time, and I will do my best to fix your problem. I built this product from the ground up and I am fanatical about taking care of you because you'd be my biggest customer, and if I don't take care of you, the business is over."

Website (business) is now created and we have very few users for the site. It was developed to help the freelance community and employers on outsourcing work. But it seems if you are not registered with one of the big boys then you remain unseen.

Is there a way to avoid the obvious i.e. not getting further than GO!?

How to get the word out?

Primarily my business is consulting, but lately I've developed an application that allows people to create their own HMI's (Human-Machine Interface). I really don't have a problem marketing that product since my customers are taking care of that for me...

The question I have however, is that in the course of creating this product there are a couple of libraries that would be really useful to other developers. I've put in a lot of time into these libraries so I don't want to give them away, but I'm planning on making them cheap enough for casual developers to get. I really don't have the means to join an affiliate or advertising network, or anybody to develop the advertisements. There are a couple communities like CP, but as far as I can tell, CP has the biggest online community for developers. CP also does not allow me to make an article about how to use the library, so I really can't do that.

How would you suggest a cost-effective way of getting the word out about these libraries? If CP had an article section that I had to pay to post an article in I would jump on that in a minute, but it doesn't exist. CP has a section for sponsor articles, but I can't see any way to become a sponsor. I'm also not sure if it would be "kosher" to post in the forum about the product and offer it free to a few developers with the stipulation that if they liked it to write a review. I've been developing for 20 years, but this is the first foray into marketing my creations, any advice is appreciated!
